U12's back on track!

Match Report : Coggeshall U12 V Great Bromley @ Home on the Harefield Pitch 6.00 pm

Great Bromley won the toss and elected to bat

GB started unconfidently after having lost their more than competent opener to a great catch from Cameron N off James R. Their middle order established themselves with a partnership of 40, before Hugh S claimed a hat-trick of wickets courtesy of three great catches (2 x James R & 1 x Louie K). They scored 68 runs, we gave them 39 wides, 4 byes and 5 no balls, total 113.

At under 5 an over to win, this should have been more than achievable, however their opening bowlers who each ended up bowling 4 overs each, kept our run rate in check, meaning that we were behind their run rate until our 17th over. This put the pressure on Hugh (Batsman 6) and Cameron (Batsman 7) to regain the lead, which through some sensible/ dogged determination they managed to pull off in a nail biting last over in which they scored the winning run.

A thrilling match, with great contributions from all players, won by the better side!
